Microsoft has announced a series of features that will allow Bing to be more conversational, making better use of object recognition, text extraction and analysis, and other techniques related to artificial intelligence.
The search results will now show multiple perspectives and multiple sources, drawn from a list of previously approved news sources. The goal is to show the pros and cons of conflicting political issues, for example, something that will add to the functions that process the false information that may appear in the search engines.
They have partnered with Reddit to show the information of the subreddits directly in the search results by using algorithms that read and analyse the text generated by the user. This includes questions and answers included in the popular celebrity search card, for example, as well as direct content when searching by the name of a specific subreddit.
Another function of Bing driven by artificial intelligence is a new conversational search function.
It will implement a more advanced form of autocomplete to help users formulate a query better, thus obtaining a more desirable response in the first search. The photo search will also use object recognition to show more accurate content.
The conversational and intelligent search will reach Bing users in the United States during the next month, but image search is now available.
