The Strategy

Working with a local entertainment hire company, providing services such as mobile discos, quiz nights and live music/tribute acts, capitalizing on the local areas was key and pivotal to business.

The strategy followed any normal SEO campaign, but with a heavier local focus. A key step was to move away from Wix and to WordPress and then build out the content for both the commercial landing pages and localized landing pages.

We also moved the website behind a CDN to benefit from HTML, CSS and JS compression – as well as SSL security.

Improving Conversion Rates

Increasing the level of traffic to the website was great, but it was also important to take steps in improving the site conversion rate. This was done through a combination of changes, but in summary:

  • Implemented local phone numbers for Grimsby, Scunthorpe, and Hull depending on the landing page and Google My Business listing
  • Implemented live chat, with offline messaging features
  • Streamlined “quick contact” forms in sidebars
  • Improved CTAs for booking requests

These small changes lead to a 57% increase in qualified leads (not spammy contact form completions).
